It´s situated out of the old wall area, the church belonged to the convent built by Franciscan priests in the 13th century. The church and the convent are considered a beautiful artistic group. The temple was built in the 14th century and it´s an ogival style and has Latin-cross ground. In the cloister ( 18th century) there are three beautiful Romanesque arches ( discovered in 1945) and a door of the original building which dates from the 13th century. Its apse is considered one of the most beautiful in Galicia. We must visit the chapel of St.Ildefonso that dates from the 14th century and belonged to the old temple. It has ogival style with vault of transepts.

It has a renaissance altarpiece brought by Mr.Juan Dutton y Aguiar from northern countries that belonged to the convent of St.Domingo. The chapel of Third Orden has a wonderful altarpiece of Baroque style from the 18th century where people venerate the Painful and the Procession group also stay in it. There are several sepulchres at church but the most important sepulchres are situated in the main nave : Beata Constanza de Castro and D.Nicomedes Pastor Díaz. In the sacristy there is an altar with an altarpiece where we can admire the imagen of Christ of Mareantes from the 14th century. In the lateral parts there are glass cases with relics and remains of St.Martyrs.
