Following the road which takes us to the beach of Area and to the church of Faro we can arrive at the Faro Mountain where we find a viewpoint to admire the estuary of Vivero. This viewpoint still preserves the ruins of an old celtic castle. An old legend tells that there was a lake called Carracedo beside this mountain and there was a medieval town called Arena or Estabañon under its waters and that the day of Saint John the bells of this town peal.
