This route begins at Chavín ( factory of Hidrofersa ). The path goes across a leafy wood and the river Landro.
A few metres we can observe two gum trees although these aren´t the biggest ( 2 metres diameter ). Following the path we continue until we come to a crossroads where turn on the right and it takes us to bigger gum trees. The highest gum trees are 80 metres tall and one of them is 2,50 in diameter ( six people are neccesary to round it ).
Return the path towards an old hydrostation we begin the most difficult part of this wasy because it´s a very narrow. We will walk along artificial waterfall. A few metres ( 800 metres) we can admire a magnificent stone ( Pena da Vella ) which is of great size and it´s held by a curved iron. It´s said that the stone was dynamited to build a dam in the river but its pieces didn´t reach the river staying a few metres where they are now.
Walking 500 or 600 metres we will discover the opening of the dam where the water forms a spectacular cascade known as “ the Cascade of the Dog”
